Mr. Roshan Lal Tamak brings with him three decades of rich experience in the sugar sector of setting up green field projects, acquisitions and efficient management of operations in the Indian Sugar industry while working in leading sugar companies. Before joinig DCM Shriram he held the position of Business Head (Sugar) with Indian arm of Olam International.

He has been instrumental in evolving some breakthrough techniques for improving agricultural productivity and human resource management in his career successfully. His achievements have been well appreciated by industry and Govt. bodies and is a member of many committees. He has been elected as the Vice President of Sugar Technologists Association of India (STAI) for two terms. He is also an elected committee member of the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) and Chairman of Sugarcane Sub Committee and also Member of Advisory Committee of CII, Energy Efficiency Council.He has been recently elected to the Global Board of Directors in Bonsucro in London, UK.

He has won many awards for his contribution to the industry, he has been conferred with the “Rashtriya Udhyog Award“for his contribution in the industrial development of India. He has been awarded the Sardar Gurmit Singh Mann Gold Medal and the “Professional of the year 2010-11”by STAI. He also has a keen interest in sustainability and has implemented several initiatives. He has also been awarded the “Sustainability-Executive of the Year Award”by Parivartan Sustainability Leadership Awards in India. He is widely traveled and is exposed to best global practices in the industry. He is a regular speaker in various national and international seminars.
